Let us look at some poses:
An important point to be remembered while performing any kind of yoga pose is that you need to first chose a place that is quiet and comfortable. This helps you to perform your asanas in a much better way.
Tadasana / Mountain Pose: This pose relieves distress by just lying down comfortably onto your back and just raise your trunk up so that its looks vertical. This is an extremely relaxing pose when it comes to anxiety or depression management. The stretch in your spine relaxes all your muscles in the back and also increases the blood flow to the head.
Vrikshasana / Tree Pose: Another way to deal with stress through yoga is by just arching your back while lying on the yoga mat. When your head hangs backwards touching the floor, it increases the circulation to the head and relaxes you completely. Breathing is the most important element of these asanas.
Cobra Pose: The third pose is yet another rejuvenating way to relieve stress. Lying on your stomach and raising your head off the floor and balancing your weigh on your hands. This can give you immediate relaxation and calm you down gradually. This pose is very easy to perform and can be done from the comfort of your couch.
Ardha Matsyendrasana / Half Spinal Twist: This pose or asana to relax is super unique. You need to simply lie on your stomach and arch your back by holding both the legs with your hands. You can feel the flood flow and all the muscles stretching out in your back. This exercise should definitely be tried out in case you need to relax.
Gomukhasana / Cow Head Pose: The fifth yoga posture begins by first getting into a comfortable position like the Vajrasana. You just need to get onto your knees and bend backwards by touching your heels. You will feel the stretch in your spine and slowly you will begin to feel relaxed.
This posture again can be tried out at leisure. This pose can be later followed by the shashankasana which is basically a forward bending pose.
Shavasana / Corpse Pose: The last yoga pose which helps you to distress is by laying flat on your back and simply breathing and relaxing. This position is known to calm your mind and body at the same time.
Yoga helps your body to slow down for a while and concentrate on your breathing. The actual asanas help release tension in many ways. When you talk about the child’s pose which is the seated posture, it can induce a feeling of calm.
Yoga is nothing but a mind-body practice that is a culmination of the physical poses along with controlled breathing and meditation.
People who do not have time and do not like to spend money on going to the gym, should try yoga because it might be a great option.
