How To Deal With An Upset Stomach When Juicing

There are numerous different things that affect the digestive process. Everyone, at some point or another, will have an upset stomach.

Then, along come things like changes to diet, stress, illness, and other problems that all make your stomach get very upset.

It’s not a good feeling, and it can keep you from going about your regular day. You probably won’t feel like working or taking care of kids, running errands or enjoying a hobby. What can you do to soothe digestive problems?

Let’s talk about juices. But wait, you are maybe thinking, that going on that juicing diet is what upset my stomach in the first place!  For most people juicing has a positive effect on the body and digestion, but sometimes the big change in the nutrients your body is receiving, the amount of fiber, and the whole detoxification process can leave your stomach a little upset.

However, that doesn’t happen for a lot of people and can be prevented by supplementing with the right foods and juicing the right vegetables during your juice fast.  By following our system you have a better chance of keeping your stomach feeling great.

There are other ways you can soothe your upset stomach though.

Know That Water Is Your Friend

Juices can be strong if you’re not making them correctly and sometimes can lead to an upset stomach. Furthermore, when you have digestive problems, the concentrations of acids in your stomach can make things much worse.  Also, when you are sick you could become dehydrated and that can lead to more serious problems.

For all of those reasons, water is your best friend.  You need water all day throughout the day. It can help keep you hydrated and cut the acids in your stomach.

If you’re one of the few that juicing upsets your stomach a little, feel free to dilute your juices by mixing 50% water (could be coconut water) and 50% juice. This will keep from upsetting your stomach. Over time, you can gradually increase the amount of juice and decrease the amount of water so that you can allow your digestive system to get used to this change.

Finally, lemon water can work as a big stomach soother. Mix warm water with fresh lemon and grated ginger. Drink this when your stomach is upset. This will soothe the gastrointestinal lining and help fight cramps and nausea.

A Juice to Soothe the Stomach

There is a great juice mix that will specifically soothe digestive upset. That’s because it balances the gut. Here’s what you will need to mix together in the juice.

  • One half of a fennel bulb
  • One cucumber
  • One apple
  • Two celery stalks
  • One lime
  • One inch of ginger
  • Handful of fresh mint leaves
  • Two ounces of aloe vera

Each of these ingredients will soothe the stomach in different ways.  When you feel digestive upset on the way, try this juice and enjoy the benefit.

There are plenty of different ways your stomach could become upset, and you will want to take care of this problem sooner rather than later.

After all, an upset stomach can completely ruin your day, so make sure you always incorporate water. It is a must for keeping the stomach comfortable and can help with juicing as well.  Try mixing a stomach soothing juice and having it whenever your stomach is upset too. This can immediately soothe your stomach and make you feel better.
