Hello Vida Juicers,
Welcome to another episode of Wellness Wednesday.
We’re going to talk about something that’s important and vital to our life….water.
75% percent of Americans are dehydrated all the time.
Just a mild dehydration can cause the metabolism to slow by 3%. You want and need to stay hydrated.
The number one reason for daytime fatigue is dehydration. 2:00 rolls around at work, you start yawning and feel tired and maybe even a little depressed…. you could be dehydrated!
When we’re dehydrated we eat more empty calories, things that end up storing body fat.
Think about it 75% of our body is water and your brain even more, 82% water, so we need to stay hydrated.
Signs of mild Dehydration:
Trouble concentrating
Fatigue
Constipation
Hunger
Some people don’t like the taste of water. By simply finding your favorite, tasty infusions, you can now enjoy your water.
We’re going to make some water infusions that you’re going to love, your children and whole family are going to love!
Your taste buds are going to love these and they are going to help you fight off sugar cravings. We all have those little toxic taste buds impatiently waiting and wondering when they’ll get their next sugar fix. These recipes will help you fight off sugar cravings while getting you back to an alkaline state! These are very alkalizing and we talked about this a few weeks ago on Wellness Wed. If you missed it you can go back on our website and read or watch a video about it.
We can stay hydrated with water that’s infused with antioxidants and vitamins. Here are three tasty, healthy vitamin infused water recipes that will help you stay hydrated!
First, we have raspberries, strawberries, and mint. Raspberries are filled with antioxidants and an assortment of vitamins and minerals to maintain our bodies and may help fight aging. Strawberries are similar with excellent vitamins and its heart shape gives us a clue that it helps protect our heart. Mint comes from the Latin word mental and has the properties to help boost your cognitive abilities. It’s also good for respiratory issues that you may have.
The , infusion is blackberry, ginger, and lime. Blackberry is a wonderful antioxidant with digestive and cardiovascular benefits. Ginger fantastic health benefits healing, anti-inflammatory, anti cancer, good for your digestion and so on. Lime is alkalizing, good for your skin and most of the benefits of lemon.
Finally, we have cucumbers, lemon, and lime. This is an excellent cooling infusion for the summer. Cucumbers are the most cooling and hydrating veggie on the planet. You’ve probably have seen cucumbers in water at your spa or some trendy restaurants. I’ve read that one cup of cucumber juice is equivalent to 3 cups of water. It is loaded with cancer fighting vitamins and silica that is excellent for beauty, anti aging, and collagen. As mentioned before lime is alkalizing and good for your skin. Lemon is cleansing and detoxifying, alkalizing, and loaded with Vitamin C.
When it comes to Portions there is no right or wrong way to do this. Use as much or as little as you like for each ingredient. Make a large pitcher and drink all day.
I have these three recipes and a bonus of two more below. Simply add the ingredients to water and let them infuse in the refrigerator for an hour or two, and then enjoy. Give this video a big thumb up and share it with your friends! Until next time this Doreen Correia and remember think, feel, do, become.
